Andrew Quarless sentenced in gun incident

On the day he returned to the practice field, Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless on Monday entered a plea and was sentenced to a year of probation and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine for firing a gun in a late-night incident in Miami Beach last July.

The NFL is expected to do their own investigation now that court case is over, according to Quarless's attorney, Edward O'Donnell, and could issue its own punishment.

In the court case, the judge also ordered that Quarless take an anger management class and a firearms safety class and allowed the state to keep the semiautomatic gun that he fired, according to his attorney and court records.
