Vols' offense enters springs with plenty of questions

KNOXVILLE — Tennessee’s football program has a new coaching staff but many of the same problems entering spring practice.

The Vols were seemingly never healthy during the spring under Butch Jones, and first-year coach Jeremy Pruitt has the same problem when practice opens today. And the offense is depleted as ever.

Inexperience at key positions and a banged up front will make Pruitt’s first spring practice as coach an interesting one.

Tennessee has only 11 scholarship offensive linemen to begin with — Pruitt would ideally like that number around 15 or 16 — and only around seven of them come in at or close to 100 percent.
