Superstitions run deep for GU professor

Related Topics: Superstition, Ritual

Professor Steverson has a ritual that he and other faculty do before every Gonzaga men's basketball game. These superstitions started the 1998/99 season when Steverson met his wife.

Some will be watching the game in the Hemmingson Center, others will be at campus-favorite bars Scotty’s Doghouse and Jack and Dan’s and some will be watching from the comfort of their home.

GU business ethics professor Brian Steverson will be watching the game in the exact same spot where he has watched every other Gonzaga game for the past three seasons: A hassock closest to the TV with a bowl of peanut M&M’s in philosophy department chairman Jay Ciaffa’s house with nine other faculty members.
