Senior Ryan Gaske left his home in Australia to play at GU, and fellow senior Angus Montgomery — or as his teammates know him, Gus — traveled from England.
Gaske, a transfer from Eastern Arizona College, grew up in Brisbane, Australia, where he lived until he was 18 years old. After having successful freshman and sophomore seasons in junior college and finishing as the top medalist at the NJCAA Division 1 Region Championships, Gaske received an opportunity to take his talents to the NCAA level. But if it weren’t for Montgomery, Gaske may have never come to GU.
