Hot off their AdvoCare Invitational Championship win, the eight-ranked Bulldogs returned to the McCarthey Athletics Center Thursday night and beat Mississippi Valley State 97-63.
The Zags had a slower start, committing three turnovers in the first four minutes and nine in the first half.
However, their 3-point shooting helped keep them in the game and propelled them to a 49 -28 lead heading into the half.
“Playing a team like that, they are really quick and we can’t simulate that in practice,” head coach Mark Few said.
