David Howell cruised to a 5-and-4 quarterfinal victory over fellow Englishman Chris Wood to earn a matchup with Sweden's Robert Karlsson, who topped Scotland's Richie Ramsay, 1 up. The other semifinal will match Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat, a 2-and-1 winner over Michael Hoey, and Scotland's Marc Warren, who needed a 19th hole to eliminate Tyrrell Hatton.
The semifinals are set for 3:30 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Eastern at Murcar Links in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Warren and Aphibarnrat are ranked 15th and 16th, respectively, in the European Tour's Race to Dubai.
