Tiger Woods is set to play for the first time in 2024 at the 88th Masters Tournament this week, and he revealed to reporters during a press conference on Tuesday that his body didn't allow him to return as soon as he previously hoped.

"I wasn't ready to play. My body wasn't ready, my game wasn't ready," Woods told reporters. "Now we have major championships every month from here until July, so hopefully that once-a-month kicks in."

Woods added that he believes he has a chance to win this weekend in Augusta, Georgia.

"If everything comes together, I believe I can get one more," he said.
