NAPLES, Fla. – Stacy Lewis is winless in 2015. Outside of the Suzann Pettersen gimmegate catastrophe at the Solheim Cup, it’s the most surprising development of the season.
Lewis has won at least three tournaments each of the past three years. She hasn’t had a winless season since 2011.
What’s the deal?
Statistically, not much. The biggest thing Lewis can point to is the equipment change she struggled with for more than half the year. Because the Titleist ball Lewis had played with for six years was going off the conforming list, she had to find a new model.
