Spieth misses Players cut, cites swing issues

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Jordan Spieth’s swing wasn’t quite right this week, and the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course exposed it.

Spieth says that’s why he won’t be playing this weekend at The Players Championship.

He says he didn’t miss the cut Friday because he is feeling additional pressure since winning the Masters last month. He didn’t miss it because he was overly tired after playing the WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship last week. He said he just couldn’t find his swing.

“I just have not worked hard enough since the Masters to have my game,” Spieth said.
