LPGA's Hull of England sidelined by illness (The Associated Press)

GURNEE, Ill. (AP) -- Charley Hull has missed the start of her four-ball match in the LPGA's UL International Crown due to illness.

Hull's absence left Melissa Reid playing for England by herself against Japan's Haru Nomura and Mika Miyazato. A spokeswoman for the LPGA says Hull can join Friday's match on the tee at any hole, but she wasn't sure if Hull would be able to play.

The 20-year-old Hull helped England sweep its two matches against the United States on Thursday on the opening day of the biennial event.
