Leishman goes low at Zurich Classic after wife's health scare

Golf has been far from the forefront of Marc Leishman's mind over the past few weeks.

Leishman, 31, missed the Masters as he attended to his wife, Audrey, who was fighting to survive an attack of toxic shock syndrome and acute respiratory distress syndrome in late March. Audrey was given a 5-percent chance of survival, according to the PGA Tour, but battled back and is recovering in Virginia Beach, Va.

“That was really tough,” said Leishman to the Tour. “I didn’t eat really for four or five days.”

But the one-time Tour winner is back on the course at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, and while his mind is likely with his wife at home, his game is on point at TPC Louisiana.
