HONG KONG (AP) -- Jin Cheng of China, who shot an 8-under 62, maintained his two-stroke lead at the Asia-Pacific Amateur after 27 golfers completed their first rounds on Friday morning.
The 17-year-old Jin was among the early starters Thursday after a 90-minute thunderstorm delay at the Clearwater Bay course.
Jin leads Gregory Foo of Singapore, who finished with a 64 Thursday, and Nick Voke of New Zealand, who completed one hole Friday to also finish at 6-under.
China's Tang Rongjian and Devin Hua of Guam were tied for fourth with 65s, while six players were tied for sixth with 66s.
