Rhein Gibson isn't too worried about a return to the Web.com Tour but his scores didn't show it.
The Australian fired an opening 7-under 63 at the Web.com Tour Championship to take a one-shot lead in the last event of the Web.com Tour Finals.
Following this event's conclusion, the top 25 from the four-tournament Web.com Tour Finals standings will earn their Tour cards.
Gibson entered the week 18th and likely in need of a decent finish to remain in the top 25. His fast start, which included a consistently-spread eight birdies, would suggest a sense of urgency, but apparently that's not the case.
