BRADENTON, Fla. — Last year, TCU’s Julien Brun qualified as an individual for the NCAA Championship at Prairie Dunes, but opted to give up his spot in favor of making his first PGA Tour start. Brun earned a sponsor exemption into the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, then shot 77-76.
Now a senior, Brun is glad to be back at the national championship.
“It feels good to be part of this with the team,” said Brun, who was on Horned Frogs squads that failed to make NCAA match play in 2012 and ’13. “It’s a great way to finish my career.
