Kiradech Aphibarnrat won his second European Tour victory on Sunday, but not without an obstacle that came in the form of a talented 19-year-old. Aphibarnrat had to beat Chinese teenager Haotong Li in a playoff to earn the Shenzhen International title.
Aphibarnrat and Li were neck and neck after making the turn Sunday at Genzon Golf Club in Shenzhen, China. The tournament seemed to be in Li’s favor when Aphibarnrat bogeyed Nos. 12 and 15.
Aphibarnrat eagled the par-5 17th, however, to take back a share of the lead. He had a chance to win on the 18th, but his birdie putt skirted to the right of the hole.
