Kiradech Aphibarnrat wasn't expecting much entering the week at the Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play.
"I didn’t have too high expectations this week," said the 26-year-old Thai, "but I just came here and tried to enjoy the whole experience of playing in Scotland."
Now, Aphibarnrat can enjoy victory. He began Sunday by defeating Scotland's Marc Warren, 3 and 2, in the semifinals to advance to a championship matchup with Sweden's Robert Karlsson.
Aphibarnrat took a 2-up lead after four holes against Karlsson and added another hole victory at the sixth hole to go 3 up.
