WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – Two years removed from being diagnosed with Lyme disease, Sandra Gal continues her climb back in the women’s game. Thursday at the Cognizant Founders Cup, Gal took a major step forward in carding a bogey-free, 5-under-par 66. It’s her lowest round since 2019. Gal sits solo second and just three strokes behind early leader Jin Young Ko.
“I came into the tournament striking it really nicely and it's kind of been building up the last few weeks,” Gal said Thursday. “But until you see the results on the course you just got to play, play, play.
