Warriors Take 2-0 Series Lead In NBA Finals With 110-77 Win Over Cavs

The Golden State Warriors are just two games away from back-to-back NBA Championships. Thanks in part to a massive game from Draymond Green, the Warriors led by as many as 34 against the Cleveland Cavaliers and cruised to a 110-77 win. Both teams emptied their benches early in the fourth quarter in the blowout contest. The Cavs actually led after the first quarter, but the rest of the game belonged to the Warriors.

After struggling for much of the Western Conference finals, Green has found his stride in the NBA Finals. He was nothin short of spectacular Sunday night, putting up 28 points, seven rebounds and five assists. He was 11 of 20 from the field and 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.

The Splash Brothers put up 20 combined points in Game 1, but matched that figure in the first half of Game 2. Stephen Curry was in foul trouble for much of the third quarter, but still posted 18 points and nine rebounds on 7 of 11 shooting. Klay Thompson had 17 points and was 4 of 8 from 3-point range. Andrew Bogut has only two points, but posted six rebounds and five blocks.

The Cavs' offense struggled, and Kevin Love's head injury didn't help. While Love had just five points on 2 of 7 shooting, he left the game early in the third quarter after experiencing dizziness. He took an accidental elbow from Harrison Barnes before the half, but stayed in the game before leaving. He's been diagnosed with a concussion and is now in concussion protocol.

LeBron James carried the offense, and although he was far from perfect, he once again had limited help. James had 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, leading the Cavs in all three categories. Kyrie Irving had just 10 points and one assist on 5 of 14 shooting. The only other Cavalier to reach double figures was Richard Jefferson with 12 points off the bench.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals is Wednesday in Cleveland. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET.
