Don Nelson has seen a lot of things in the NBA, including five NBA championships as a player and 12 more seasons as a head coach.
Among the Basketball Hall of Famer and former Warriors coach’s Top 5? The “We Believe” run in 2007.
Nelson noted just how special that Golden State squad was in an interview with KNBR’s Tolbert and Lund on Wednesday.
“Well, I’ve had a lot of great moments in the NBA through my career and that’s right up there in the top five or so, I would think,” Nelson said. “It was just a remarkable thing we did that year, and unexpected, and make the playoffs, the last day, have to win at Portland to even get in the playoffs, and then to be able to do what we did, is truly remarkable.
