Warriors' Steph Curry Progressing in Ankle Injury Rehab, Could Return vs. Lakers

Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry was reevaluated on Tuesday and is "making good progress" in his recovery from a sprained right ankle, the team announced.

Curry has been cleared to resume on-court workouts and is expected to join the Warriors for practice in Los Angeles on Friday, at which point he will be reevaluated again. He could potentially return for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Curry sprained his ankle in Golden State's 125-122 loss to the Chicago Bulls last week. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported at the time that the injury wasn't "expected to cost him many games," though Warriors head coach Steve Kerr later ruled out Curry for the team's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, which will be his third straight missed game.
