Warriors reverse roles with Thunder, fade away in fourth quarter

OAKLAND – All season long, the Oklahoma City Thunder were criticized for failing to finish opponents, as they blew leads over the final 12 minutes an NBA-high 14 times.

In Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, it was the Warriors pulling an OKC in a 108-102 loss.

After leading by 12 (81-69) with 3:32 left in the third quarter, the Warriors fell apart. The Thunder closed the third with a 16-7 run to narrow the margin to three before taking a lead in the fourth and never losing it.

“We got rushed a little bit and tried to go for the home run plays,” Stephen Curry explained.
