As of late Sunday morning, Mike Brown is expected to coach the Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
The NBA has announced that Brown will talk to media at 3:15 p.m., 75 minutes before tip-off. That comes in the wake of a recent ESPN report that “there remains some optimism” Steve Kerr could coach in Game 2.
General manager Bob Myers confirmed Saturday to reporters that a Game 2 return for Kerr was “on the table,” though no definitive timetable had been set.
Since Kerr stepped away from the sideline before Game 3 of the first round because of complications from back surgery two years ago, Brown has led Golden State to 11 consecutive wins.
