Warriors rookie center Damian Jones has been assigned to Golden State’s NBA Development League affiliate in Santa Cruz.
Jones is expected to stick with Santa Cruz for its final 15 regular-season games, a team spokesperson said. That would have him returning to the NBA club April 1, in time for the Warriors’ final six regular-season games.
Jones, 21, has appeared in 17 games over seven D-League assignments, averaging 7.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 23.9 minutes. In eight games with Golden State this season, he has averaged 1.4 points and 1.
