SAN FRANCISCO -- The Warriors, UCSF and San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee announced UCSF would officially endorse the arena project after preliminary agreements were reached to address traffic concerns for the UCSF Medical Center in the Mission Bay neighborhood.
At least $10 million in revenues from the 18,050-seat arena annually would be used to fund traffic mitigations for the life of the arena, pending approval from San Francisco's Board of Supervisors.The Warriors also agreed, after months of meeting with the community, that if traffic problems still persisted, they would cap arena events overlapping with weeknight Giants home games at 12.
