The Ringer thinks there's virtually no way the Warriors repeat

A year after giving the Golden State Warriors just a 15% chance to win the NBA title (whoops!), Boston Celtics superfan Bill Simmons' sports site The Ringer has even less faith in a repeat.

The latest offering from the site's NBA Odds Machine, which promises daily predictions for the 2022-23 championship based on "team strength as measured by point differential — a historically strong predictor of future success — with adjustments for individual wrinkles like injuries and schedules," gives the Warriors just a 1% chance of winning the Larry O'Brien trophy.

That's worse odds than the Cavaliers (14%), 76ers (13%), Nuggets (12%), Bucks (10%), Grizzlies (10%), Kings (5%), Suns (5%), Knicks (5%) and The Ringer's current favorites to win the crown at 22% — pretend to be shocked in 3 .
