Winning NBA Coach of the Year was obviously a big deal for Steve Kerr, but clearly not as big a reward as getting to sit down with Marcus Thompson II and myself on this edition of the podcast.
Kerr was in a great mood and happy to talk about the mood of the team a few days after clinching Round 1 vs. Houston and waiting for their opponent in the second round.
We talked about the circumstances that led to Kerr turning down the Knicks and taking the Warriors job two summers ago, about assistant Luke Walton’s process in a somewhat similar situation now and about the comments made by owner Joe Lacob recently.
