ORLANDO — Another day, another team from the past claiming it would beat the current iteration of the Warriors.
Appearing Thursday on Rachel Nichols’ “The Jump,” Stephen Jackson said the “We Believe” Warriors would beat today’s squad.
“My Warriors’ team would beat today’s Warriors team,” the soul of the 2006-07 squad said. “I guarantee that. I guarantee that. We beat the No. 1 seed.
“They’re great. I’m not taking anything from them, but we could beat them. We would have beat them.”
The 2006-07 Warriors sneaked into the playoffs and knocked off top-seeded Dallas before losing to Utah.
