A Navy veteran was given a new, custom-built house as part of a special segment shot for the television show "The View," but also received another surprise during the home's unveiling — a visit from Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry.
Timothy Birckhead of New Jersey is a disabled veteran, who suffers from a progressive (and incurable) disease that affects sensory and motor nerves, leaving him wheelchair-bound. The disease forced Birckhead to leave the Navy after seven years of service, and the nonprofit Homes for Our Troops worked to build a house that could suit all of Birckhead's needs.
