Now Warriors know they can't take a defensive break

OAKLAND -- Blake Griffin, of all people, said it best about the Warriors a couple of weeks ago. They are a wonderful offensive team, the Los Angeles Clippers forward admitted, but what sets them apart is their defense.

The Warriors found that out the hard way Saturday night when they relaxed a bit on the defensive end in the first quarter of their game against the lowly Brooklyn Nets. The Nets shot 68 percent, took a 15-point lead, and it was all Golden State could do to rally back and beat a 1-8 team 107-99 in overtime."Defensively, we did not compete and they were able to pretty much get their whole team in a rhythm," said interim coach Luke Walton.
