SACRAMENTO — The Warriors have treated summer league the same way they do with the regular season. They prioritize health over wins.

Therefore, Warriors rookie guard/forward Jacob Evans played only seven minutes in the team’s 77-71 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday because of a rib contusion.

“He may gotten his ribs bruised up a little bit,” said Warriors assistant coach Willie Green, the team’s summer-league head coach. “I’m not sure how serious it is, but enough to take him out.
