A day after stating that he would not visit the White House if invited, Warriors star Kevin Durant got into a combative Twitter exchange with a former ESPN reporter.
Newly vocal conservative Britt McHenry, a victim of mass layoffs at ESPN earlier this year, tweeted: "If issue (fairly) is divisiveness in the USA, then use celebrity & platform to come together. Great leaders meet, not shun invitations to WH."
The tweet caught the attention of Durant, who responded: "boo hoo. Sad story.....keep tellin me more," followed by a sleeping emoji.
