JaVale McGee declared who his favorite rapper is in a video by Complex magazine posted Wednesday — and while it is not surprising, it certainly is topical.
McGee made it clear that his choice is partly because rappers like Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. died young. Still, his pick for G.O.A.T. is a product of his generation and certainly something he keyed into long before joining the Warriors, who have a history of sorts with his selection.
“People think I’m crazy when I say this, but I say Drake,” McGee replied when asked for his favorite rapper.
