OAKLAND — One day after his online feud with Shaquille O’Neal escalated to concerning levels, JaVale McGee was uninterested in speaking about the subject, directing two questions about it toward the Warriors game against Brooklyn on Saturday night.
“You know me, I’m Mr. Positive,” McGee said. “Smiling my way to the top.”
But when pressed further, McGee shifted the conversation toward what he believes is the most positive basketball environment he has seen in his career, allowing him to find an on-court niche while maintaining his quirky off-court personality.
For the players, McGee said, it starts with Steve Kerr and his typically laid back demeanor (unless he just saw an uncalled travel).
