The Warriors have signed free-agent forward Scott Wood, the team announced Friday afternoon.
Wood’s addition brings Golden State’s roster to 20 men, the maximum allowed until NBA teams have to trim rosters down to 15 the day before the start of the regular season. The Warriors, who open training camp Tuesday, have 14 players on fully guaranteed contracts for the 2016-17 season. Wood will compete with JaVale McGee, Phil Pressey, Elgin Cook, Cameron Jones and Elliot Williams for Golden State’s 15th and final roster spot.
McGee and Williams have the best shot at making the team, with McGee — an eight-year NBA veteran who averaged 11.
