Curry scores 25 in first quarter

WASHINGTON — Warriors guard Stephen Curry exploded for 25 points in the first quarter against the Washington Wizards, making seven 3-pointers.

Curry was seven for eight from beyond the arc and more than halfway to the NBA's single-game record of 12 3-pointers held by Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall.Curry was 9-for-10 from the field to start off his match-up with All-Star point guard John Wall. Curry hit his first six shots of the game, including five 3-pointers during that stretch.He then stole the ball from Wall at midcourt and drilled his sixth 3-pointer of the game.The Warriors led 43-28 after Curry's outburst.
