Kevin Durant Suffers Knee Injury vs. Wizards, Will Have MRI

Kevin Durant's homecoming did not last long.

Durant suffered a knee injury in the first quarter of the Golden State Warriors' game against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night when teammate Zaza Pachulia fell on his leg.

The original diagnosis is a hyperextended left knee, but Durant will have an MRI to determine the full extent and severity of the injury, according to ESPN's Marc J. Spears.

Durant did not return to the game after suffering the injury. He is averaging 25.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this season.
