The 5 Most Memorable Moments From The Warriors' Unforgettable Season

The Golden State Warriors have clinched the top seed in the Western Conference and the best record in the league, giving them home court advantage throughout the postseason. This season has been the best in franchise history and has provided fans with several unforgettable moments. Here are the best of the best:

5) Signing Steve Kerr

The Warriors had a tumultuous offseason where previous head coach Mark Jackson was fired after back-to-back 50 win seasons, and they almost traded away All-Star Klay Thompson in a package deal for Kevin Love. All of that time spent in the rumor mill stopped when Kerr took over. His calming presence and leadership refocused the team, and it showed in their incredible start.

4) Warriors blow out the Hawks

Golden State and Atlanta weren't supposed to be the best teams in their respective conferences, but that's what they have been throughout the season. The Hawks had already beaten the Warriors in Atlanta, adding fuel to the fire when the teams squared off in Oracle Arena. The Warriors won by 19, cementing their place at the top of the league.

3) Stephen Curry's 51 points

The Warriors were down by 19 to the Dallas Mavericks in the first quarter, but Curry caught fire and had one of his special games. He dropped 26 points in the third quarter alone as his hot shooting display led a massive Golden State comeback that turned into a 14-point win.

2) Klay Thompson's 37-point third quarter

Curry's 51 points were only topped by Klay Thompson's 52 points and his NBA record 37-point third quarter. He also broke the league record for most three-pointers made in a quarter (nine) while shooting an incredible 13/13 from the field
