Instant Reaction: Warriors Crush Grizzlies 101-84 In Game 4, Head Home With Series Tied At Two

The Golden State Warriors couldn't solve the Memphis Grizzlies' defensive puzzle in any way, shape, or form during Games 2 & 3. They had no such trouble during Monday's Game 4 in Memphis.

Steph Curry blew up for 22 points in the first half, the supporting cast chipped in with major contributions up and down the line on both sides of the court, and the Warriors head back to Oakland with the series at two after a 101-84 annihilation of the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies never truly had a chance in this one as Golden State went on a game-long heat check from the perimeter to stake themselves to a 28-20 lead after one and a 61-44 advantage at the half.

Memphis would keep it competitive in the second half, but every mini-run was answered by a dagger shot from the likes of Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson amongst others. The Grizzlies simply didn't have the firepower to match up, allowing the Warriors to seize back home-court advantage with a bang.

Key Number: 14 of 33

What did the Warriors do to shake their shooting blues from the past two games? They just kept shooting. And shooting. Golden State went 14 of 33 from beyond the arc on Monday, winning the 3-point battle with Memphis by a massive +30 margin.

Golden State MVP:

2014-15 NBA MVP Steph Curry put on an absolute showcase in Game 4, looking like his old self again while draining contested jumpers with ease and throwing insane zig zag passes (some of them no-look) to his teammates all over the court. He finished his night with 33 points (his highest output of the series), eight rebounds, and five assists while killing Memphis' confidence early with his aforementioned 22-point first-half outburst.

Memphis MVP:

Marc Gasol was his normal dominant self in the block, chipping in a team-high 19 points to go with ten rebounds and six assists. He didn't really have a heck of a lot of backup on this night, but he at least acquitted himself well.

What's Next?

The series shifts back to Oakland for a crucial Game 5 on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for just after 7:30pm local time.
