Atlanta’s Donald Young and Georgia Tech’s Christopher Eubanks won their opener in the doubles bracket of the BB&T Atlanta Open on Tuesday.
Young and Eubanks defeated the fourth-seeded tandem of Mate Pavic and Michael Venus 6-2, 3-6, 10-5 at Atlantic Station.
Eubanks, a graduate of Westlake High, was an All-ACC honoree as a freshman last season. He will play Ratek Stepanek Wednesday afternoon in the singles draw. Young was eliminated from the singles draw on Monday.
