Tech investigating allegation of harassment by police of recruit

Georgia Tech’s campus police department has opened an investigation into an incident at Bobby Dodd Stadium during last Saturday’s Georgia Tech-Georgia game involving a high school player who had been committed to the Yellow Jackets for the 2016 class.

Offensive lineman Jordan Johnson of Ed White High in Jacksonville, Fla., wrote on his Twitter account Sunday that he was withdrawing his commitment after “I had a bad experience” at the game. In a later comment on his account, he specified it as “police harassment.”

Campus police chief Robert Connolly is leading the investigation.
