Brandon Robinson, four-star guard from Douglasville, Georgia announced his verbal commitment to North Carolina on Monday afternoon.
Robinson had been considering Louisville and had the Cardinals in his final list, along with Georgia Tech, Florida State and Georgia.
Pitino’s staff came in a little later than most during Robinson’s recruitment. The 6-foot-5 guard wasn’t on the Louisville staff’s radar until the end of the summer after a few big time performances in Las Vegas at the adidas Championship tournament.
Robinson took an unofficial visit to Louisville in early August shortly after picking up a scholarship offer from Rick Pitino.
