It’s no secret that college football fans and analysts across the country pay significant praise to conferences such as the SEC, Pac-12, and the Big Ten. However, there always seems to be hesitation when it comes to involving the ACC in the discussion, regardless of the conference’s success. The powerhouses of the conference are undeniably talented teams, but it’s the bottom half (or maybe even more) that bring down the ACC’s legacy.
In recent years, the ACC has been dominated mostly by Florida State as they added a National Championship, a Heisman Trophy, and a berth in the inaugural College Football Playoff to the conference’s résumé.
