TAMPA, Fla. - Rashell Reid established a new personal best in the Hammer Throw Saturday, recording a distance of 59.21 meters at the NCAA East Prelims in Tampa, Fla.
Reid surpassed her previous high mark on her first attempt at USF Track and Field Stadium.
Reid placed 19th overall at the NCAA East Prelims in the Hammer Throw, coming up just short of qualifying for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Reid was named All-Sun Belt earlier this month after finishing second in the Hammer Throw at the Sun Belt Championships in San Marcos, Texas.
