ATLANTA - Sophomore earns his fifth singles win at the top singles flight in Panthers' 5-2 loss to Charlotte.

Georgia State men's tennis (4-2) fell 5-2 to Charlotte (6-2) on Friday afternoon. The Panthers opened singles play with a 1-0 disadvantage after dropping the doubles point with losses on the first and third flights.

Soyler scored his fifth singles win of the season at the top flight, defeating his opponent 6-4, 6-2. Graduate student fought at the sixth singles flight to come back after losing the first set, taking down Charlotte's No. 6 player 3-6, 7-5, 10-6.
