STATESBORO - Georgia Southern senior Valentin Dun and sophomores Pol del Castillo and Dimitris Paliouras have each earned spots on the Collegiate Sports Communicators Academic All-District Tennis team, announced today by the organization.
A senior from Concepcion del Uruguay, Argentina, Dun earns the honor for carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA in electrical engineering. The 2x Sun Belt Conference Academic Commissioner's List honoree went 9-4 in doubles this season for the Eagles in 2023.
Castillo, meanwhile, earns the honor for carrying a 3.79 GPA in mechanical engineering. The 2022 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and a 2023 first-team All-Sun Belt singles honoree, The Tarragona, Spain, native earned Sun Belt Conference Academic Commissioner's List honors last year as well for the Eagles.
