STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein announced Thursday the addition of Maine to the Eagles' future football schedule. GS and Maine will meet on Sept. 7, 2019 at Allen E. Paulson Stadium in Statesboro.
The Black Bears, who compete in the FCS and Colonial Athletic Association, went 6-5 last season. The program has won three conference titles, made five appearances in the NCAA Playoffs and three times has advanced to the Round of Eight in the playoffs.
Georgia Southern is 3-0 all-time against Maine with all three wins coming in the NCAA I-AA/FCS Playoffs.
