NORFOLK, Va. – The Georgia Southern women's swimming team was part of a record number of teams to earn Scholar All-America Team honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), it was announced Wednesday morning.
"It's an honor to be named a Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2017 semester," said GS head swimming & diving coach Laura Thomas. "I am so proud of our girls! We strive for excellence in the pool and in the classroom and our hard work is producing results. We have a great Student-Athlete Services Department, and our academic advisor, Kathryn Koning, is instrumental in helping our athletes achieve at a high level in the classroom.
