NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern's Ben Carr has been named the Sun Belt Men's Golfer of the Week in a vote by the league's head coaches, the conference announced today.
Carr earns the honor for the second time this season. The fifth-year senior won the Schenkel Invitational and tied for second at The Valspar Collegiate Invitational while averaging 68.5 strokes a round in the two competitions.
He shot 68-68-72=208 (-8) in the Schenkel for his fourth career collegiate victory and led the Eagles to the team title for the second straight year.
