Fifth-year senior offensive lineman Greg Pyke had surgery for appendicitis on Monday, according to a source close to the program.

Pyke, who is expected to make a full recovery well before Georgia’s season-opening game against North Carolina Sept. 3, was voted preseason first-team All-SEC by the media last week.
