Report: Georgia adds 2022 home game against Kent State to its schedule

Georgia is continuing to add to its 2022 schedule by adding a home game with Kent State. The Athens Banner-Herald reports that Kent State will be paid $1.9 million to play September 24, 2022, at Sanford Stadium.

That gives Georgia two of its four non-conference games for 2022, along with the annual series against Georgia Tech.

The money paid to Kent State is in line with what Georgia is paying other non-conference opponents. The Bulldogs reportedly will pay Middle Tennessee State $1.7 million and Austin Peay $500,000 for games in 2018 and $1.
